About The Norfolk Hotel
We're excited to announce our latest venture, the redevelopment of the former Norfolk Hotel in Sunderland. This iconic historic building is situated in the conservation area of the city and boasts a blue plaque recognizing its heritage. Once a school, the building is most notable for being the birthplace of Sunderland football club. In recent years, the hotel was used as a hostel until it closed in 2019. We are thrilled to breathe new life into this treasured landmark with the creation of over 50 new spaces for creatives and independent enterprises of all shapes and sizes.
The building is being renovated in three phases. Renovations are currently underway and we intend to open phase one of the building in 2025.
